Why do I see several work versions of my work?

Several work versions are an indicator for cases where there is more than one version of a work. They either reflect individual contents, mixes or arrangements.

Another work version can also be a work notification e.g. from another author or publisher involved which has not been processed yet. Moreover, it might be that an additional work version reflects the change to a work carried out online. The work could not be overwritten automatically and an additional work version was generated instead.
