Account statements

• My account statement shows “BK Guthaben” [credit], but the amount is followed by an“S“ for Soll [debit]. Why?

  In this case, an amount was credited to your bank account. While your membership account may be debited by a payout debit (S), you still receive the corresponding transfer to your account in the form of a credit (H).

• My account statement shows “Your tax ID: was not declared“ or “Your UST [VAT] ID No: was not declared”. What does this mean?

  This is an automatically inserted text which is printed in such cases where a member does not have a tax ID, or has not notified us of this number yet. As soon as you declare your tax number to us, it will be shown within the text.

• Can I have copies of my account statements sent automatically to third parties?

  This service is currently unavailable.

• When will I get my account statement?

  If a posting (or a pay-out) has been made to your membership account in the current month, the account statement will be created on or after the third working day of the following month, made available in the Online Portal or sent out to you by post.

• Why do I no longer receive account statements in the post?

  If you have registered for the online portal, you can also access your account statements there - and no longer receive them by post.

  1. Select the service My financial details in the Online Portal.
  2. You can access this in the area My account statements.
• What do the abbreviations on the account statement mean? Is there an English translation for them?

  While we may not provide a comprehensive translation (of the account statement) at this time, we can provide explanations of the abbreviations in German and English as well as explanations on the contents of the account statement.

• Can I have copies of my account statements sent automatically to third parties?

  The account statement includes:

  - Always a cover sheet with a consecutive number
  - Attachement Credits
  - Attachement Debit
  - Attachement Advance payments

  Please note: The attachments are only created if a booking has been made in the current month. The bookings noted in the attachements are shown cumulatively on the cover sheet of the account statement. They also ensure the proof of credit notes and invoices required by VAT law.

• How do I obtain a copy of my account statements?
  You can print out copies free of charge in the My financial details online service. In case you do not use the Online Portal, we will charge - as documented in our services catalogue - a fee for each additional copy of an account statement. Whether by digital or analog means: In any case, we need to know the period for which you require copies of account statements.
• What does the term “Saldo-Vortrag” [balance carried forward] mean?

  This is the closing balance of the previous account statement.
