  • Where do I find my customer number?

    If you are a GEMA creator member, you can be a music user and our customer at the same time, by notifying us of your own performances releasing sound recordings, for example.

    As a customer, you will also have a customer number. You can find it on the top right next to the address on an invoice.

    If you have linked your customer account with the Online Portal, you can also find your customer number there:

    1. Please log in.
    2. At the top right, next to Contact, there is a pictogram representing a person.
    3. Click on it to change to the music user view.
    4. At the top left hand side, you now see your customer number.
  • Why can I not access my financial details via the Online Portal?

    Have you possibly moved and not communicated your new address yet? If we have sent you mail that has been returned to us, we will block access to your financial data as a precaution. Please always notify us of your new address immediately.

  • How do I notify you when I change my address?

    Simply change your address details or those of your authorising party in our Online Portal under the service My details in the area My addresses.

    Please also inform us of any changes of your tax residence following a move to or from abroad.

  • How do I change my bank details?

    As a creator or an authorised representative, you can simply change your bank details in our Online Portal under the service My details in the area My bank details.

    Alternatively, you can also notify us of your new bank details in writing. In that case, we need creators to provide their own signature, publishers must produce the signature of their respective Managing Director, in the case of a GbR [partnership under German law], signatures of all partners must be supplied unless a partner is authorised as a sole signatory and GEMA is aware of this. These must be communicated: IBAN and for countries outside of Germany the BIC, for bank connections in the USA also the ABA routing number.

    Please use the bank details form (see below) and send us the bank details form signed by you as a pdf attachment by e-mail to mitgliederpartner@gema.de or by post to an GEMA Generaldirektion, Mitglieder & Partner, Rosenheimer Str. 11, 81667 München, Germany/Deutschland.

    Notification of a bank account – only if domiciled for tax purposes in Germany
    Notification of a bank account – SEPA only (EU/EWR excl. Germany)
    Notification of a bank account – non-SEPA (USA & outside EU/EWR)

  • How do I change my tax details?

    As a creator or an authorised representative, you can simply change your tax details in our Online Portal under the service My details in the area My tax details.

    Alternatively, you can also notify us of your change in writing: Please use the Change of tax information form and send it by e-mail to mitgliederpartner@gema.de or by post to GEMA Generaldirektion, Mitglieder & Partner, Rosenheimer Str. 11, 81667 München, Germany/Deutschland.

  • How do I change my phone number?

    Simply change your phone details or those of your authorising party in our Online Portal under the service My details in the area My phone details.

    Alternatively, you can also notify us of your phone number change in writing: Please use the address form (notification and changes) and send it by e-mail to mitgliederpartner@gema.de or by post to GEMA Generaldirektion, Mitglieder & Partner, Rosenheimer Str. 11, 81667 München, Germany/Deutschland.

  • How do I change my name details?

    The easiest way you can do this is in our Online Portal under the service My details in the area My membership details.

    Do you not have access to the Online Portal yet? Find out here how to register.

    Alternatively, we also accept any requests to change details from you or your authorised representatives in writing. For this, we always need the corresponding certificate for this purpose.

    Please direct your name change including the certificate as a pdf attachment by e-mail to
    mitgliederpartner@gema.de or send the documents by post to GEMA Generaldirektion,
    Mitglieder & Partner, Rosenheimer Str. 11, 81667 München, Germany/Deutschland.

  • Where do I find my membership number?

    Each GEMA member has a membership number. You can find it in your Deed of Assignment, for example.

    If you have linked your membership account with the Online Portal, you can also find your membership number there:
     

    1. Please log in.
    2. At the top right hand side, next to Contact, there is a pictogram representing a person.
    3. Click on it to change to the music author view if the music user view is shown.
    4. At the top left hand side, your membership number is now displayed.
