Showcases

• Which genres are supported preferentially?

  There are no preferred genres. We contact promoters from the most diverse music genres.

• Who chooses the winners?

  The winners will be selected by the respective event promoters. If it is a showcase at GEMA (such as the Long Night of Music), the winner will be selected via an internal vote by all GEMA staff members.

• Who selects the events or the organisers?

  We regularly seek to enter into new collaborations with event promoters in order to create even more performance opportunities for young artists. If you have any suggestions for festivals etc. where you want to see showcases, please let us know: gemaplus@gema.de.  
  
  We organize showcases where our members actually want to perform!

• Do you check whether the applicants are GEMA members?

  Yes, we check this thoroughly. At least one performing band member must be a GEMA member.
