What is the so-called GEMA Foundation?

Our foundation is a recognised benevolent and charitable public foundation governed by civil law. Apart from our activities as a representative of the interests of music creators, we also carry out a cultural and social mandate given to us by the legislator as set out in our statutes and distribution plan. We do so via the GEMA foundation, among others. Apart from our cultural activities, we also support members in need, by granting earmarked educational allowances, for example.  This is done via the GEMA foundation and other organisations that are close to us. By way of carrying out these activities, we wish to protect creative diversity and promote creators of musical works.
